Graduate student staff provides support to your studies by answering your questions such as how to use computers, research, and write reports. You can consult them in Japanese, Chinese or English. Go to the Support Desk for their advice.

Support Desk Online

Graduate student support staffs can respond to your consultation online.

  1. Only for Nagoya University students.
  2. Consultation only on weekdays (3:30-5:00pm), up to 30 minutes per session.
  3. Please apply by 12:00pm the day before (on weekdays only).
     *Please let us know your third desired date and time as possible as you can.
  4. Zoom is used for consultation.
     *Gather. Town is available on trial only for Nagoya University members.
  5. Please check the application form for details about service times .
     *We may not be able to meet your desired date and time due to the arrangement of seminars, etc.
  6. Please check below for details about staffs in charge.
  7. When you wish to change the registration, please e-mail us.

I cannot login to the computers in the Library.

You need to renew your initial password. For faculty, researchers, and auditors, an account issuance procedure is needed before the password change.
In addition, you have to take the Information Security Training within a month after your enrollment.

How do I find the books I need?

Use the OPAC to look for books held by the Nagoya University Library. You can search the OPAC by titles, authors, or keywords.

You cannot search for articles by their titles on the OPAC. Search by the title of the journal to see if the volume you need is held at the Library.

Please use databases to search for articles by subject. CiNii Research for Japanese articles and Web of Science for foreign articles are major databases. There are many other databases available in the Nagoya University. Please refer to the list of databases on the Library website.

There are machines for making copies at private expense and ones at university expense. To use the copy machines, please fill in the application form for copy services.
