Graduate student staff provides support to your studies by answering your questions such as how to use computers, research, and write reports. You can consult them in Chinese or English. Go to the Support Desk for their advice.

Student support staffs can respond to your consultation online.

  1. Only for Nagoya University students.
  2. 30 minutes for each consultation.
  3. Please apply by 12:00pm the day before (on weekdays only).
  4. Zoom is used for consultation.
  5. Please check the application form for details about service times .

    You need to renew your initial password. For faculty, researchers, and auditors, an account issuance procedure is needed before the password change.
    In addition, you have to take the Information Security Training within a month after your enrollment.

    How can I print out documents from a Library computer?

    You can print out through an Cloud On-demand Print. You need a co-op photocopy card to use the printer. After outputting documents from the computer, insert the copy card into the card reader beside the printer, and operate the touch panel to print out the documents.

    You can use the external CD/DVD drive on the Library computers by applying at the Circulation Desk.

    Use the OPAC to look for books held by the Nagoya University Library. You can search the OPAC by titles, authors, or keywords.

    You cannot search for articles by their titles on the OPAC. Search by the title of the journal to see if the volume you need is held at the Library.

    Please use databases to search for articles by subject. CiNii Articles for Japanese articles and Web of Science for foreign articles are major databases. There are many other databases available in the Nagoya University. Please refer to the list of databases on the Library website.

    How do I photocopy Library materials?

    There are machines for making copies at private expense and ones at university expense.
    The former can be paid by coins or Co-op copy cards. There is a Co-op copy card vending machine in the Library. To use the copy machines, please fill in the application form for copy services.

    Are external users allowed to use the computers in the Library?

    You need your Nagoya University ID to use the computers in the Learning Commons. Only the computers for OPAC search are available to external users.
