“Tanabata festival” (July 2nd – 8th)

We are decorating bamboo for Tanabata in front of the entrance gate at the Central Library.
Please feel free to write your wishes or dreams on the card and hang it on bamboo branches.

☆About Tanabata・・・
Tanabata is a festival of stars Vega (Shukujo or Orihime) and Altair (Kengyuu or Hikobashi), celebrated on July 7 of lunar (Chinese) calendar.
According to Chinese well-known legend at this night stars Vega and Altair show up at both shores of the Milky Way and magpies use their wings to form a bridge, which Vega and Altair cross and meet each other.
